IN SITU is an arts management consultancy founded by Tan E-Jan, a creative producer and arts consultant based in Malaysia. ‘Situ’ is about placemaking - ‘site’, ‘situate’, a ‘local position’, essentially ‘here’; in Bahasa Malaysia, however, ‘Situ’ means ‘there’. These meanings play against one another in a way that captures the sort of work E-Jan is interested in, the collaborative, the entangling in the facilitation of art and futures that makes ‘t/here’.
