KOREA-VIETNAM MUSICAL <Troll's Child>

SangSangMaru(Korea) x Vietnam Youth Theatre(Vietnam)

The project aims to document and share the collaborative process of localizing the Korean musical Troll's Child in Vietnam through a digital archive, enhance production quality via joint workshops, and promote K-musicals in Southeast Asia by releasing the main theme song in Vietnamese on global music platforms.

Introduction


1.Create a digital archiving book to share the process and experience of collaboration, expansion, and localization of the Korean original musical <Troll's Child> in Vietnam with the citizens of both countries, theater professionals, and administrators.

2.Enhance the quality of the production through mutual collaboration and workshops aimed at the successful localization of the musical <Troll's Child>, which will premiere in Vietnam under a licensing agreement following the co-production.

3.Promote the musical numbers by producing a digital album of the main theme song of <Troll's Child>, recorded in Vietnamese, and distribute it on global music platforms to popularize K-musicals in the Southeast Asian market.

SangSangMaru(KOR)

SangSangMaru is a leading company specializing in the production of innovative and creative musical content and performances. Vietnam Youth Theater(VNM)

Established in 1978, Vietnam Youth Theater is a national theater under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and is a member of the International Association of Children and Youth Theater. Located in central Hanoi, the theater is one of Vietnam's most dynamic and creative theaters, and has produced notable achievements for more than 40 years in producing art for children and teenagers.

The Vietnam Youth Theater has 588 seats, and about 160 members are active in dance music and theater parts. It also interacts with international cultural institutions, art organizations, and overseas theaters to serve as a bridge to cultural and artistic exchange activities that promote Vietnamese culture to the world, while introducing new cultural and artistic values to Vietnamese audiences through the convergence of international contemporary art trends.
